Copilot sidebar still shows deleted chat title even though history is empty and Shared Chats is blank

Hi support team,

I am experiencing a UI synchronization issue with Microsoft Copilot.

My main chat area says "You don't have any chats yet", but the sidebar on the left still displays a ghost chat title: "Model Quality: Auto vs Compo...".

I previously generated a share link for this chat before deleting it. I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists:

  • Cleared Microsoft Edge browser cache and cookies.
  • Checked in InPrivate / Incognito mode (the ghost title is still there).
  • Checked the "Shared chats" section in my settings, but it shows absolutely nothing.

It seems like a server-side caching issue keeping this shared chat stuck on my sidebar. Could you please help reset or clear this stuck item for my account?

Thank you!

    Hello Hien Le Van,

Thank you for explaining the issue clearly and listing the troubleshooting steps you have already tried.

Since the deleted chat title remains visible even in an InPrivate window, this does not appear to be caused by Microsoft Edge’s local cache or cookies.

As an additional step, please try signing out of Copilot, closing all Copilot and Edge windows, and then signing back in. You can also review or clear your Copilot activity history through your Microsoft account by following Microsoft’s official guidance here: Conversation history in Microsoft Copilot

If it remains after that, I recommend submitting feedback directly through Copilot and including the screenshot, the approximate time the original chat was deleted, and the fact that a share link had previously been created. This information may help the Copilot team investigate the synchronization issue.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and community contributors cannot access account data, remove server-side records, or reset items displayed in an individual account. If necessary, you can also contact Microsoft Support so the appropriate support team can review the available options for your account.

I hope the stuck entry is cleared soon. Thank you so much for your understanding.
